These where my first "skate" shoe, (sorta). They lasted for a long time mind you that I never really did any tricks that rip your shoes, so that could have been the reason. Still ok shoes. I dont know about the new shoes out, but they look pretty good.

Advantages:

Super comfortable, forms to your feet, durable, sole is grippy and flexible.

Disadvantages:

Sole runs down little bit fast.

These lasted me the longest. I got them for free at a skate camp I went to. Thier rubber toe cap kicks ass, it never wore out!

These shoes suck!, thier ollie protection sucks, thier laces holes are too low causing the grip to eat the laces apart.HOWEVER!! their sole has the best grip!

I got the Ed Templetons' for a decent price, and would say that they are amazing shoes. They are super grippy, ollie protection is good and are super comfortable. The so-called rubber lace loops that "protect your laces" don't, they did for about 5 ollies, then thats it. Overall, they are great shoes.

When I first tried on a pair and skated in them , they felt like slippers! They are super comfortable. They are really durable, I am definity getting another pair as soon as I am done these. The only downside to them is thier sole wears out fast, but thats about it.

The shoes I got were Ronnie Bertino first model. They kicked with a little help from shoe goo, they lasted 7 months.

I got another pair of Kastels cause I liked the first ones I got. The model (Stuntman) was different from the ones before, they where heavier and bulky, they have lasted me a year!! Longest lasting shoe I have ever had!

Advantages:

The Vans I had (pudge)only lasted me 2 months. Their ollie area was too soft and was destoryed in no time! Thier sole was okay,
